Summer Term 2 25-26

 

This term our topic of focus is Kings and Queens

In our English lessons this term we are exploring a range of texts including The King of the Fishes by Jo Pearce and The Tiny King by Taro Miura. We will be focusing on narrative writing and non-chronological reports. In our Maths lessons we will be focusing on Money, Statistics, Units and Volume. 

In Science we will be exploring Properties of Materials. We will be learning the features of different materials and how their properties can change.  

 In History this term we are learning all about Kings and Queens including British History and Royalty. In Art this term we are learning about the artists Robert Rauschenberg and Hundertwasser to explore how they use various collage and painting techniques to create different collage effects. We will also be looking at creating interactive or pop up books inspired by Kings and Queens in some D&T sessions. 

In Computing we are exploring programming,  focusing on repetition in games. In P.E this term, we will be exploring Cricket skills to work towards a team game. 

Alongside all of this exciting learning,  we will also have weekly Forest School sessions, daily Finger Gym activities and opportunities to explore our topics through sensory and practical exploration
