School Meals
School meals are prepared on the premises by our catering team and there are separate sittings for infant and juniors in the KS2 Hall. Nursery children will each their lunches in a separate area of the nursery building.
Pupils are encouraged to eat healthily and to show courtesy and good manners at the table.
How Much Does a School Meal Cost?
The cost of a school meal is £3.00 per day.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM.)
You may be entitled to receive Free School Meals (FSM) if either yourself or your child receive certain benefits. For more information or to apply, please visit the Cheshire East website.
Even if your child is currently eligible for UIFSM, it is still worth applying for FSM as the school also receives additional funding (known as Pupil Premium) to support your child’s education.
If your application is successful, please advise the school office so we can update your child's record.
How Do I Book My Child's Meal Choice?
We operate on a three week rolling menu. Please click the links at the bottom of the page to see the menus for each week.
Parents/Carers should pre-order lunches via the Arbor Portal/App up to a term in advance. Changes can be made up to 48 hours before the day.
Please click here for more information on how to book.
Can my Child Bring in a Packed Lunch?
Yes! Your child is welcome to bring in their own lunch from home. Children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will take this over to the KS2 hall to eat. KS2 children will eat their packed lunches in the classroom. Nursery children will eat all together in a separate area of the nursery building.
Please be aware we have a number of children in school with nut allergies so we ask that you please do not send your child to school with nuts of any type.
For safety reasons, please do not include glass containers in your child’s lunch box and ensure they are able to open any containers themselves.
Water Bottles in School
All children are advised to bring a clean, fresh water bottle to school each day where they will have access to it throughout the day. We ask that the children do not bring in any squash or cordial.
Should I Provide my Child with a Snack?
Foundation and Key Stage 1
As part of a government initiative to encourage healthier eating, our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 & 2 children are offered a free piece of fruit or vegetable daily. This may include satsumas, bananas, apples, pears, cherry tomatoes or carrots.
Key Stage 2
KS2 may bring their own snack into school, or purchase something from our snack trolley with cash. Every effort is made to provide a healthy snack that is low in fat, sugar and salt content.
Pupils are encouraged to eat healthily and to show courtesy and good manners at the table.

Special Dietary and Allergies Requirements
All medical dietary requirements (allergies, food intolerances) requested by parents have to be supported by a medical letter to be given to the school office. An individual care plan will then be created which will document how to recognise symptoms, deal with adverse reactions and the actions to be taken in the case of an emergency.
Please be aware we have a number of children in school with nut allergies so we ask that you please do not send your child to school with nuts of any type.
Many people follow diets related to their culture or religious beliefs and the school will make every effort to provide meals for all children.
All special dietary and allergy requirements should also be updated on your child's record via the Arbor Portal/App.
