Summer Term
In the second part of the Summer Term our topic will be focused on The United Kingdom!
We will be reading a text called Bright Bursts of Colour in our English learning and build on our poetry writing skills. We will be exploring poetic devices such as alliteration and rhyming. We will also be recapping key skills we have learned this year such as using capital letters, full stops, expanded noun phrases and direct speech.
In Maths we will be recapping Multiplication and Division aswell as exploring Units, Volume and Statistics.
We will be learning all about Properties of Materials in Science and linking this to our English text and ICT learning on Collecting Data.
In Art we will be developing our Painting skills whilst exploring Art that has been made by local artists. We will also be exploring some Cooking skills in Design and Technology and learn cutlery skills alongside this.
Of course our Geography learning will be all about The United Kingdom! We will be linking in History by exploring some local History in Macclesfield.
There are more wonderful activities we will be taking part in alongside this learning this term such as Forest School and Lego Team Building. There are more activities listed on our Summer Term Curriculum Letter.
