Autumn Term 1 25-26
This term our topic of focus is Electricity!
In our English session we are reading the book The Danger Gang by Tom Fletcher. We will be focusing on the key skills of using fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases in fiction narrative writing this term. In our Maths lessons we will be focusing on place value aswell as addition and subtraction.
In Science we will be looking at electricity and exploring circuits, we will also be learning about electrical safety whilst we engage in some exciting practical experiments within our sessions.
In ICT we are exploring repeating patterns in computer coding. We will be using the software Turtle Academy to create shapes and patterns using repeating code. This links to our Art where we will be exploring repeating patterns through printing. We will be exploring artists who use repeating patterns and learning techniques to create pattern prints.
In Geography this term we are learning how to read maps, we will also learn key skills including using a compass, understanding map symbols and using grid references. This will link to our P.E where we will explore orienteering using maps and visual symbols.
Alongside all of these exciting activities we will also have weekly Forest School sessions, daily finger gym activities and opportunities to explore our topics through sensory exploration.
