Early Years

22.10.19 We went on our Autumn Walk today.  Thank you to all of you that were able to join us. We had lots of fun spotting signs of Autumn.  We loved seeing the horses on the farm but we were not too happy about the smelly pond!
24.10.19 We loved sharing our Autumn Sing-a-long with you all today.  We hope you enjoyed our songs x
5.11.19 We have started reading 'What's in the Witches Kitchen' and had lots of spooky fun in our new role play area.  Please look on the Reading for Pleasure tab to find this story told.

8.11.19 We joined the whole school for a minutes silence in our Remembrance garden to think of the soldiers that were and have been involved in conflicts since the First World War.

13.11.19

We created a new reading area in our classroom.  We tried to read different labels of items we find at home to make a display.  We also tried hard to think about what strategies we used to read the words.  We have all enjoyed using our reading den.

19.11.19

We have been investigating different types of feathers in our investigation area.  We have used different equipment and recorded our findings.

22.11.19

We know it's a little early but we made Santa's sleigh!

26.11.19

We explored different vegetables using our senses and the investigation equipment.  Then we used knifes and vegetable peelers to prepare our vegetables for cooking.  After that we tidied everything away.  Miss Atkinson slowed cooked it for us and finally we ate it.  Yummy!

3.12.19

We have been writing letters to Santa about what we would like for Christmas.  We all have our fingers crossed.

9.12.19

We have been busy making Christmas models using junk modelling.  Can you tell what we have created?

8.1.20

This week we have been making our own gingerbread men. We used raisins to decorate them too! We all ate our gingerbread men and spoke about what we did to make them.

17.1.20

We went on our gingerbread man walk today! We had lost all of our gingerbread men paintings and thought they may have followed the route of the story! We even saw a big gingerbread man run away! We went out of the school, down the lane, past the fields and to the river (in our case the canal!). Our adults were then invited to make maps of our journey with us.

9.3.20

What a MESS! The Naughty Bus has been to visit our classrooms! Hes made a mess of the snack table and cello-taped our registering names to the table.
