Swimming

                                        Swimming 

Year 5 will go swimming all year .

You will already have had a letter giving the main details.

Swimming sessions are on a Tuesday afternoon. We travel by coach to Macclesfield Leisure Centre for a half hour swimming lesson.

What do I need to bring if I am a girl?  

• A one-piece swimsuit 
• A towel
• A swimming hat 
• A suitable bag to keep wet items in.

What do I need to bring if I am a boy?

• Swimming trunks, not surf shorts 
• A towel
• A swimming hat
• A suitable bag to keep wet items in.

We would ask that the children don't come to school wearing their swim kit under their uniform , since this can cause issues with going to the toilet and sometimes can result in underwear that they will need to change into being forgotten. 

Longer hair should be worn up or in braids to make it easier to get into a swimming cap.

Swimming makes you extra hungry  and thirsty so if you wish to send  a  small snack for our return to school,  as well as  your usual water bottle, please feel free to do so.
