  • Thursday - SNOW

Thu 19 Jan 2023 Kathy Nichol

The snow has other ideas and isn't following the weather forecasts quite!  Lots of snow falling as I write this.  To give best notice, we are going to have a staggered start.  Registers will close at 10a.m. If your circumstances mean that your child needs to come to school as normal, then please bring them and follow directions given by the staff.  If they can arrive at 10a.m., then we would be grateful.  This will allow staff time to get to school as many Cheshire East main roads haven't been gritted overnight!

Out of school club is likely to start in the KS1 hall this morning.  Please head to the main entrance.

  • Snow

Wed 18 Jan 2023 Kathy Nichol

School will be open today.  Staff will be clearing and gritting as fast as they can.  We have the odd member of staff who will be late in while they wait for roads to be cleared.

Please STICK to gritted paths and follow staff directions.  We need to avoid compacted snow as this takes longer to melt and impacts on children's playtimes and everyone staying safe.

Out of school club, you are likely to be directed in through the main entrance to school if you are an early starter (7:30a.m.)  Please check this first.  We will clear a path to the chalet as soon as we can.

Children are able to wear wellies or walking boots today and bring a change of shoes for indoors.  They are welcome to bring a complete change of clothes in case the snow stays long enough to play in it but they should come to school in their usual uniform or PE kit (if PE day).  Without a complete change of clothes, we won't be able to allow the children outside as we don't have drying facilities for wet clothes.

The car park is likely to be closed for at least the first hour or two so that we can clear a path and grit.

Thank you for your help and understanding.
